Slee & Co. Architects is a Stellenbosch based practice founded in 1986 by principal partner and director Johann Slee. With a longstanding focus on high end residential architecture, holiday homes and lodges, the studio creates buildings that respond closely to their surroundings, climate, materials and cultural context. Its design language draws on local vernacular architecture through simplicity, honest materials, textured finishes and muted earth tones, while incorporating contemporary technologies and sustainable principles to improve energy efficiency and comfort. The practice also brings extensive experience in heritage projects, particularly within Stellenbosch’s historic built environment.
